I can't believe Rivera would be so dumb as to not want anyone else for our line. It would be very Foxesque of him to do so.

 

Someone on Twitter asked Joe Person to clarify that comment.  He said Rivera had stated that he was happy with the linemen we have.

 

That's still not really full context, but if that's what he actually said, it's a pretty big stretch to go from that to "no more linemen".

 

The most you can rightly get out of that is that we aren't signing anyone else "right now".  Says nothing about plans final cuts.

Damn Person is a moron. Just whatever he reports from now on ignore it. He twists words around and tries to create drama. One of the worst "journalists" in recent memory.

I think his statement was posturing and an attempt to build the confidence of the current unit in case we must go into week one with this group

 

Also, as a way to not get gouged in deals... especially if we're looking to do a trade.
