Please remember...there will be more cuts....

"NO MOAR LINEMENS" by Rivera aside, let's not forget that there will be more cuts and we don't really need go diving through trash at the moment.

This thread is for people who'd like to avoid discussions of bringing in crap players simply because they are available.

I don't think Anyone is forgetting there are more cuts, but we are razor thin at oline depth and there are a few cuts with names worth discussing.

What makes the line hard to figure out is the hybrid player.  Garry Williams can play T and G, Travelle Wharton can play LG and LT,  Byers can play C/G.  Here is the depth chart the way I see it:

LT--Gross, Wharton

LG-Wharton, Silatolu

C--Kalil, Byers

RG--GWilliams, Byers

RT--Bell, GWilliams

So, we can cover it all with 7 players --on paper any way.  I think we will keep G Chris Scott and possibly Nate Chandler.  Regardless, the hybrid player creates a big problem.

The problem with this logic is this-if you have to move a starter to fill in for another position, you have 2 positions that have backups instead of one.  For example, if Bell gets hurt, we would move Garry Williams out to RT and move Byers into RG.  1 injury, 2 reserves.

I THINK Chandler can go to the PS.

That was also before the rookie went to IR. Stevie Wonder can see how badly our o-line needs help.

To stand firm on a bs statement to the media and roll with what we have should be grounds for immediate termination.

Maybe that is what they told him to say, I.e. Benghazi
