The answer for me, sadly, is a yes. I think it's time we move towards new, fresh backs which are becoming easier and easier to find. Possibly next year's draft find a guy that's a heavy load to compliment Barner's quick speed?

Following an NFL team means "moving on" from a RB almost every other year.  This post makes it too personal, I do not begrudge either player going for the biggest contract they could get.

The "moving on" from Hurney just happened two years too late.

Well in a perfect world i'd like to keep Stewart over Williams but to be honest Williams is the one that usually ends up on the field and he's looked like his old self in preseason.

Stewart is 26 and is on the pup list. His expectations have dropped from me. He was and could have been a franchise guy but with his ankle issues and the style he plays he may only be a good player until he is maybe 30 or so. So that's what 3 years of awesome RB play for half a season while paying franchise RB money?

It may just be Williams that stays after all. He's the one under contract till 2015 I think. Plus we have Tolbert and now Barner.

I am pretty sure Stewart's salary is fully guaranteed for this season and next...so he will get plenty of chances to prove himself.  Williams salary is not that bad, especially if he ends up producing like we know he can.  I give them 2 years before we can realistically move on from either.
