Preseason Panic In Pantherland.

Do you know how tired players would be from going around the world like that? When soccer players take trips like that, they go a couple of weeks in advance to right themselves for the time zone, the climate, etc. it would be a nightmare on their bodies.

No I do not.

Week one when we whip ass, things will calm down. We are a very good team, we just have to click. Our Oline IS terrible but they'll figure it out. Defense will help the Offense get better by putting them in good field position and giving the chance for easy scores. This can swing momentum which should spice up our O game on its own.

Too much drama all for nothing.

Go ahead and flame me but.....Playoffs! Here we come!

GO PANTHERS!

...and here we have a classic example of knee-jerking contrarian logic-bashing journalism most frequently seen on the huddle by your average toothless short-order cook, only in this case it's the Charlotte Observer's resident toothless short-order cook.

1. Hyperbole up your strawman (USE CAPS for style points. See what I did there? Sounds like I was yelling for a sec)

2. Bring up anecdotes (in this case, all you need is one example of a team that did great in preseason and ended up shitting the bed during the fall. Who needs comprehensive stats analysis since it doesn't support what we're going for here anyway? Just remember that time some team somewhere looked good in August and ended up not looking good later on when it mattered and in conclusion our offensive line is automatically not going to look like garbage even though there are injuries in the interior and team execs are patch working it.)

3.????

4. Profit.

Don't forget to smugly act like you know what you're talking about

Offense was consistantly bad in the 2011 and 2012 preseasons.....

Those are also the two greatest offensive production seasons in franchise history. All comes down to the OL. If they can be some what not crappy....we will be okay

That's a big IF IMO. I think it was a mistake cutting hangman even though he was below avg because Williams is abismal right now.

here's the thing, the O-line scares me, and Shula's track record isnt good and the preseason has killed any optimism I may have had about that.

until otherwise proven wrong(which I am seriously hoping I am) I'm assuming the offense will be utter crap this season.

I understand the Shula stance....and I agree about the OL.

But Cam, the offense, and the scheme all looked bad every preseason under Rivera....so that is par for the course. They have always run the lamest offense in preseason under Rivera.

If the OL is worse than last year....we are in trouble.

You truly are a Frash Bastard.  Pie for you.  The uninitiated or unenlightened will not appreciate the intellect displayed in such a succinct yet all-encompassing post (the hyper up straw gave you away).  If you had thrown in an Ayn Rand reference I would have given you a perfect 10.

Not that you need my approval, but carry on young man, carry on.

Your contribution to this site may go unnoticed by many, but not by me.  I have my eye on you.  Carry on.

It was a different kind of bad. This year we have a bad OC that either wants to practice a scheme that will not work with our skill set or will come out with something entirely different in the regular season that we have not worked on in preseason both of which are stupid if you ask me.
