Seahawk Fans Expecting Blowout in Week 1

I just have this gut feeling that

1) Wilson (and RGIII) are in for the sophomore slump

2) We are going to demolish Seattle in the opener

3) We are getting a home playoff game this year. Maybe 12-4 or something.

I've got 4 years of getting beaten up for predicting 7-9 and being kind of right.

I feel it in my pee pee

You guys are doing the same thing the hawks fans are doing. Buffalo may not be world beaters but its a nfl team ad I can't look past them just bc they are the bills. If are offensive looks bland like it has all pre season I don't expect a win there either.

Well, of course. The panthers got beaten by KC Chiefs by brady fuging quinn. No team should be overlooked with no backup qb.

I don't think this fan base understand how big time Cam is and how bad the personnel around him is. So many fans think this is an 11 win team just because Cam ran his ass off last year and pulled off some Ws in game he had no business winning. In a way it's Cam's fault. He brings too much high expectation to a mediocre team.

Good points.

However, I'm not sure the team is "mediocre" if Rivera coaches it well. If Rivera coaches it well, I think they can be a good team for the very reason you brought up [Cam], and hopefully this ballyhooed defense, so many are riding the bandwagon on?

I guess we'll find out soon enough?

If ever in the HISTORY of the NFL there was a game 1 trap game, this is it.

3000 miles away.   I hope it is humid.

Your biggest rival and neighbor (sorta) at home the following week.

Underestimating the Panther D and O,

One of your top pass rushers is suspended and your star WR injured.

Your mini-QB has been weighed, measured, and will become the poster child for sophomore slumps.

Game on.

That is just plain stupid. In the last 2 wins of the season his passer rating was 75 and 61.  Sure he was very good in some games and awful in others.  What we lacked was a shutdown defense.  If we get to 10 or 11 wins it will be about the defense as much or more than the offense.

Can't blame them for not knowing they play us in week1. But, they are gonna be in for a rude awakening.

The awakening will be how fast they can get past our oline. I really want to talk smack but I have yet to see a offense that can put up more than 9 points a game.

I feel this way:

The Panthers are at home.  They have a QB who is ready to show the world he gets it.  They have a coaching staff who knows this season is make or break.  They have a roster full of players who are in contract years.  They are better in almost every way than last season.

Seattle fans are right.  This could be a blowout.
