Seahawk Fans Expecting Blowout in Week 1

How did Alex Smith "the bust" look on that same team? when he went down with a concussion he was the third highest rated passer in the nfl. They would have made the superbowl last year with Alex Smith if it wasn't for the fumbles. They don't have to put Cam down to build another player up. It took two of their golden boys (RG3 and Luck) to break the records Cam set his rookie season. It's just ridiculous. I don't know how Cam deals with it because it makes me want to suit up and play.

Good points.

It's amazing how you hear so many National media talk about the Cam and the Panthers, but you rarely hear them ever mention Ron Rivera.

That's how you know their Full of it, and have no credibility. Cause no honest analysis of Cam can ever be made (especially in comparison to those others), with out bringing up how his coaching effects his wins and even game numbers. Everyone knows this. Even Rivera has admitted he's been painfully learning on the job. So they're either stupid, haters, or blissfully ignorant?

And I can't say this enough. They fail to mention, that Wash, San Fran, and Seattle ran the ball more than they passed. They were running teams first. And we all know how mediocre Luck was towards the end of the season, though he got bailed out by his defense  to hold onto those much ballyhooed Game Winning Drives.

I wouldn't pay them any mind though. They'll all have much crow to eat this year.

The seasons almost here.

That is just plain stupid. In the last 2 wins of the season his passer rating was 75 and 61.  Sure he was very good in some games and awful in others.  What we lacked was a shutdown defense.  If we get to 10 or 11 wins it will be about the defense as much or more than the offense.

What about his rushing rating? Picking up 1st downs when the OL breaks down rating? The dude put up running back numbers while putting up top tier QB passing numbers and you're talking some rating crap.

Like the first down he had against Atlanta when it was 3rd and 1 which propelled us to victory??  Oh Wait.................

it's amazing you even remember one very specific play he didn't make(that didn't even cost us the game). Refer to your own 'cheap shot' to defeat your argument. On that play he is a QB doing a RB's job, rushing. Point, made! Guys like peyton/brady/brees would never have been in that situation. Argument, defeated!

It's a bit silly to be making this topic based on what a couple of your co-workers said. Imagine the potential topics that would be created on opposing fans' message boards if we unleashed carolina-chuck at some kind of NFL convention. If they generalized his thoughts and analysis to all Panthers fans we would be the laughing stock of all fanbases in the NFL :/

So I was talking to a couple guys I work with from Seattle today, and they are not even remotely concerned with the Panthers in Week 1. Their comments basically revolved around things like "We should just hope their defense doesn't injure any of our guys because they are so nasty" to "I doubt you guys can even top 200 yards in offense against us" to "Russell Wilson is going to carve up your joke of a secondary (which does have some legitimate plausibility) to "Cam will be pouting with his towel on his head by the end of the game."

Heck, one of them didn't even realize they played us Week 1. I think most of their fans are solely focused on their home opener in Week 2 against the 49ers. They have certainly fallen hook, line, and sinker on the Super Bowl hype out there. I hope that is the case, because I think they are in for a rude awakening.

I told them both the Panthers Defense was nasty this year too, and they better hope they can protect their 5'10" Golden Boy back there. Oh yeah, and there is that small detail that we should have beaten them last year had Cam not made the worst throw of his professional career to Hartsock in the endzone.

Anyway, prepare to be disrespected big time over the next 2 weeks. Seahawk fans and the national media are going to promote this game as basically a fifth preseason game for the Seahawks as they prepare for San Fran in Week 2.

Opening Day can not get here fast enough. Here's to proving everyone wrong.

That's funny cause I live in Tacoma,Wa, bout 20 miles south of Seattle and I work with a bunch of die hard Sea Chicks fans, some are a little concerned about Wilson because he hasn't looked that good in preseason. I been talking mad poo to them, only thing that concerns me is their running game versus ours, no comparison.

Seahawks are no joke though. I would say they are a better team top to bottom then us. Better coach, a QB with seemingly no flaws, a stud HB, CB, hard hitting safeties, solid defense, weapons on offense.

I dunno about their o-line, but honestly if I were a betting man (which I am, but its a problem) I would bet on the hawks.

That's not to say that I don't think we can win, because we can. Just saying, it will be a tough win for us.

First of all I admitted it was a cheap shot but it surely happened and Newton did screw up by trying to get extra yards because he didn't know where he was on the field and spun instead of fell down. But that was ancient history. As for Newton rushing that is a big part of his game. If Newton could throw like Brady Peyton or Brees he probably wouldn't run so much either.
