Wharton re-signed. Should G-man eat crow and re-sign Hangman?

I wasnt in the room when the choice was made and dont exactly know why it was, but this has been a huge head scratcher for me because it's pretty clear our offensive line sucks balls and Hangman could not have been that much worse that he warranted getting cut that early, because I mean damn our O-line is making our DB's look like all pro's

He was a below avg player getting starter money. That was the bigger issue,

this comes down to the classic question true but who do you replace him with? Right now that would be nobody, and I don't care if he isn't even average if he's better then some of the player on your team and you cut him but don't replace him, what has that accomplished?

And no he wasn't getting starter money he was getting back up money, I never saw him make $5+ million a year and that's pretty standard for starting Oline

I guess people just ignored what I wrote but believe me Hangman was having second thoughts about playing football anymore. That's why he was cut early into camp. I think he is thinking his options over and it wouldn't surprise me to see him retire.

But to answer the topic no I think there are better options.

Let me help you get your actual facts noticed. First, open your post with something that will gain attention. Accuracy and truth notwithstanding, like this:

"Geoff Hangartner, the best interior lineman on the Panther roster, was released today."

Then go on with your facts, as anything of a factual or anecdotal nature that fits the reasoning of your post may go otherwise ignored.

"It is believed Hangartner admitted to coaches that his speed and agility isn't there and he's not close to being the player he was a couple seasons ago. Hangartner says he'll need some time to consider whether football can be a realistic part of his future or consider retirement."

The big W will help, but we still need more.If DG can find another serviceable lineman after the 31st that would be nice.

I guess they finally see that Kug isn't gonna be much help at this point. Thank God we are getting help.

i think there may be a generational gap about what this statement means.

Listen here you young wipper-snapper, I was storming the beach at Myrtle back when you were still shitting yellow and couldn't eat cornbread without milk...I remember when Biakabtuka was a spry, promising prospect, I was wearing an onion on my belt back then, which was the style of the day, now you have to understand that when I say that, many didn't understand what the price of a gallon of gas actually meant from an hourly wage standpoint back then, I did which, gave me an advantage, anyway, like I was saying....

I must say, many of our employers are being ripped off as the participation on this site does not seem to wane in respect to time of day or day of the week.

In other news, glad it was coffe thru the nose rather than chunks on the keyboard (reference to bloddy toe pic).  :)

self employed but, yeah, my boss (my wife) would agree that my company is getting ripped off from the amount of my participation in here.

and i agree that coffee on the keyboard is always better than vomit. i have tried to unsee that image but it's burned on my brain. *shudder*

OK, so Hangman was a good back-up that reportedly has to decide whether football is still in him. I guess the latter is very telling if it is actually true.

With two hammy situations possibly rearing their ugly heads during the season, though, wouldn't it make sense to have cheap depth?  I suppose Garry Williams could be the fail-safe...how about that (the last part being rhetorical, and somewhat ironic)?
