Wharton re-signed. Should G-man eat crow and re-sign Hangman?

I don't think he should have been cut when he was. Not that I believe he's good but the timing just didn't make sense to me we need the depth. Now that he's gone I'd bring him back for depth. He's versatile and can play other positions in an emergency situation. Vet min tho

Well I havent seen that 25 cents on the dollar yet have you? we arent hurting that bad for cap room this season. not anymore anyways

No, but we can roll that cap space over and it gives us even more cap room next season when we are faced with another round of bad contracts we have to figure out.

Plus i believe we are waiting on the final cuts for when/if we sign another player.

Yes, Gettleman should eat crow....he is doing such a piss-poor job.  God he sucks.  Maybe he should kill himself.  This entire Gettleman experiment has been a waste and an utter disappointment.  We would be so much better off with, oh I don't know, one of us at the helm.

:)

I guess people just ignored what I wrote but believe me Hangman was having second thoughts about playing football anymore. That's why he was cut early into camp. I think he is thinking his options over and it wouldn't surprise me to see him retire.

But to answer the topic no I think there are better options.

I'm in the minority on this but I'm curious to see how Bell looks next to an actual RG before he's completely done and gone. I mean I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in a vet or another teams cut but I feel like Wharton helps out Bell more than anyone, if Wharton is healthy.

I understand your point, but have to disagree.

Bell may become a good RT at some point. He just is not ready to be a starter in the NFL right now. Byron could have an all-pro next to him and he would still be beat on the edge. So unfortunately, imo, what we've seen so far is pretty much what we get.

I noticed that you have to say something controversial like "start Kenjon Barner over DeAngelo Williams" or bring up Cam's accuracy in the preseason or you can derail the thread. You'll get noticed real quick if you do that.
