A few chicken mcnuggets of truth for you guys to swallow

- Wharton graded out below average according to PFF his last year here. His massive contract along with that is what made him a cut. He is also coming off an injury. He is also, however, still an upgrade, and this is still a good move.

wharton finished the season with a postive rating. this is a tweet from pff (this will be the third time posted in this very thread)...

Justin Goad@PFF_JustinGoad 3h

Wharton had +3.3 rating at LG in '11. -7.9 in first 8 games, +11.2 in last 8. Got progressively better through the year. Didn't play in '12

Schwartz is terrible! Hell to the no for him.

Wharton can be a plug in play at RG. We plugged him almost everywhere when he was here. IMO, I would love to move Amini to RG bc I think he's a better run blocker. Only problem is would you want him learning a new position?

Wharton was plugged in at RG?  When?

Schwartz was actually bad at RT, decent at RG.

I think Silatolu would blow a gasket on the right side.  That is not really the only problem, but it is a big one.

It is my opinion that Wharton is left side depth.  He played LT and LG for us.

I disagree, can't say that Bell was balling and did not get called for a fare share of his patented face mask grabs, but Wharton allowed a lot of defenders to Cam. The LG spot was an open doorway for defenders in 2011.

Look at a site like PFF....

Bell earned a -17.5 overall grade on the year.

Wharton a positive 3.3

Now the site has it's flaws....but Bell was horrible.

They also acknowledged Wharton regressed as a pass blocker....and he graded out worse than anyone.

But we had one of the greatest rush attacks in NFL history. That is how Wharton finished with an overall positive grade and Otah an overall negative.

I hope his contract had something in it that insures he gets paid to play and not rehab from a sideline bike.

Yeah we have to many of them... Question how many people can we put on the PUP list. Is it just one player ? J Stew ...

If more than one I think they put the rookie DII guard there.

I'm not sure. He may not have played RG, but he showed he could play multiple spot. I would not doubt Wharton being able to play at RG.

Schwartz was bad everywhere. Just a bad player in general. I mean really? What's the love for scrubs on here? I mean Deuce Lutui and even HANGMAN are available. Not huge upgrades but a lot better than Schwartz.

Geoff Schwartz G 4 MIN KC +6.4

182

Do not have his Panther numbers, but PFF had him as one of the highest rated guards in free agency this year, rated considerablly higher than Chad Rhinehart of the Chargers, their starting LG.

I don't remember Schwartz sucking at G.  I remember him struggling at T.

Schwartz is 10 times as good as Hangman, what the fug do you even base your asinine opinions on?

I'm not gonna debate over a scrub. We bitch about how terrible we are at OL, but fans like you keep on vouching for terrible players to be brought in. Don't bitch when Cam is on his ass then. Stay mediocre.
