And just like that, Kugbila isn't practicing today

or Gettleman was buying time and/or leverage.

Im starting to think Rivera won those "disagreements" they had in the darft room. . . and Gettleman let Ron have his way on a number of picks. . except the 4th.

Gettlemen will use this to fire Rivera at the end of the season. He'll look all the way back to the draft and point to those "decisions" Rivera made....

Really? I think the disagreement was on the first two....and I think DG won.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember Barrett Jones still being available.

That what I was referring to. Jones had a tremendous college career. Was NFL ready, not raw. Had injury problem but played last night at center. Jones can pretty much play all 5 OL position.

Not just that, the kid who was drafted right after Kugbila, "David Bakhtiari" is looking damn good at LT for GB in replacement for the injured Bulaga.

He was going to be a long term project regardless of his status this preseason. I don't quite understand all the fuss.

I kinda think this is the exact reason for the "fuss".  This offensive line doesn't need a long term projects, it needs guys that can play right now.  Teams can get starting quality offensive linemen in the 4th round.  Gettlemen didn't.  Will he be good down the road, maybe, will he even play this year, probably not.

Good interior OL are easy to identify even in later rounds. OG was an apparent need headed into the offseason. Rather than address said need, we took a development project because he had a good combine who now can't even get on the field.

Yes, that is part of the fuss.
