Why do you think chose Cam for Geno to compete against.   Nice seeing Cam finally playing like he should be. First 2 season he didn't trust the team and tried to do it all himself.  You cant do that in football.  Now he is trusting his teammates and the results are showing. 

 

 

had to get a last shot in before the schedule gets tougher...

If I wanted to be a real ass I could post Geno stats against the Bucs and Cams Stats against the Bucs.  But I don't want to ruin every ones happy mood.

 

i don't think that would ruin anyone's mood. he wasn't anything special vs tampa.

Isn't Cam your team's QB? What's with the scorn when it's clear to everyone but folks like you that Cam has been carrying this team?

 

I don't know if the hate towards Cam is racist, Bama crazies who are still pissed that he took Auburn to the NC, or Panther fans look for attention and it pissed when they don't get it. I don't know, but  the attitude of some towards Cam seems quite dysfunctional.

Geno Smith - 24/38 ATT, 256 YDS, 6.7 AVG, 1 TD, 1 INT. 6 Rushes 47 YDS, 6.7 AVG. QBR 48.5, QB Rating 80.6. Won 18-17.

Cam Newton - 23/32 ATT, 221 YDS, 6.9 AVG, 2 TD's, 0 INT's. 11 Rushes, 50 YDS, 4.5 AVG, 1 TD. QBR 86.4, QB Rating 111.6. Won 31-13.

Once again, Squirrel is talking out of his ass.

You've basically become the new Grits of the huddle, and sooner or later you'll be banned just like him too.

Geno Smith may one day be a good NFL QB. But right now, he's just way to inconsistent an error prone to be favorably compared to Cam. 

 

Give him time. Then maybe?????

True that's because he is a rookie.  He is making a lot of stupid mistakes right now but he is also making some great plays. He will get better.  The question will be can he protect the ball better when pressured.  He has a bad habit of fumbling the ball if pressured.
