Due to his cover abilities and him being a McDermott guy, Jamar Chaney would be a nice pick up. 

 

I'm assuming that we go with seven linebackers (Kuechly, Davis, Beason, Blackburn, Senn, Klein, ?)

 

It's doubtful that the seventh linebacker on the roster would ever see time, but with two guys that have an injury history; it sure would be nice to have a player that could come in a give the team some good minutes if needed.

 

I'd say Jason Williams #54 would be the seventh. He's a good special teamer.

Stephen Peterman might very well be worth a look.

I'm looking up Barry Richardson and honestly don't see why we shouldn't give him a shot. Has started 49 games and is a very serviceable player. He was cut from the Titans because they have two of the best OTs in the league and plenty of depth behind them. Unless he has some injury issue I can't find mention of he would be an excellent pick-up.

Yeah, he'll be the seventh and you're right he is a good special teams player; he's just a liability on defense (similar to Jordan Senn).
