Panthers' mini feeding frenzy

“I’ve seen what a feeding frenzy looks like. We had a game against Philadelphia a few years back where we had 12 sacks, and we had a game against Chicago where we sacked Cutler 10 times,” Gettleman said. “I really believe in it. Can it mask issues in the secondary? Of course it does."

The statement above from an April 28th article in the Observer is beginning to seem prophetic.  The buz that the defensive performance has caused during the Ravens game will only be magnified many, many times over once a game like this occurs in the regular season at home.

The Panthers defense was on the verge of reaching critical mass many times last night in front of a hostile crowd with few if any cheering them on.  The only people in their corner was their teammates and coaches and yet they were as fired up as any defense I have seen Carolina field in recent memory.

If this is indeed a glipse of the Panthers 2013 defense, I cannot imagine how much more the defense will be foaming at the mouth when they are at home with us cheering them on.  I found myself jumping up out of my chair last night yelling, "Yes!" and fist-pumping all by my lonesome on more than one occasion.  If they play at BOA like they played last night, I may get arrested if anyone tells me to sit down.

Here's to hoping that Gettlemen's vision of a feeding frenzy comes to fruition on September the 8th.

can we hire someone to yell down to the players bench at every game they start slow: "Remember Baltimore"...

Watching the Seahawks right now, let's hope they have it when it counts.

...and trust me, there are enough Wolfpack people around here to have it be a pro-Wilson stadium. Why fso much love for someone who left the school, never understand it.

Russell Wilson is struggling tonight. Should the Seahawks be worried?

Defense plays against the Seachickens the way they did against the Ravens in the 1st half and the team and the crowd will be at Def Con 1 and anyone in Seattle gear will be trying to hide underneath their seat.

Team does their part I promise you we will do our part.

Kind of hard to hide that snot-green color in your see-thru bag on the way out of the stadium.
