They are right to an extent.  We haven't drafted or signed a top flight wide receiver since Steve Smith (and that includes Johnson btw :)).  But in fairness, Gettleman has only been in the job for less than a year, and its going to take a little while longer.

I agree 100%. What talent does the Panthers have on offense? We spent most/all of our resources on defense for the better part of 3 years.

 

Not that I disagree with this approach, but if we are going this route, then the defense needs to lead this team...NOT the offense. You can't expect the offense to lead the way and consistently overlook getting playmakers or difference makers on that side of the ball.

 

So again, this season is all about our defense and our billion dollar back field. Not Cam Newton throwing for 4k and leading the team in rushing. If we wanted that kind of production on O we should have brought in people to surround him to do so.

We fuged up BAD by hiring Shula. The guy has always has historically bad offenses. We haven't had a decent drive this preseason. I know some dumbfugs will say that it's only preseason, as if Shula has an ace up his sleeve. No, Shula has his head up his ass. That's it.

 

Give us a decent o coordinator, and we are playoff bound. For now, I just don't know.
