The patriots went 16-0 and were the best team in the league that year and didn't win the superbowl. It is extremely hard to win a superbowl. Why don't you get that. Green Bay was 15-1 and didn't win that year. You can't discredit a superbowl win no matter how hard you try.

Players are completely different. Backups get rings too. Coaching is the key factor in playoff and superbowl wins.

Gruden was clearly a failure as a talent evaluator. Kiffin's 2002 Tampa defense was one of the best ever.

I put Gruden in the same class as Mike Ditka...although in reality Ditka had much more impact on the building of the '85 bears than Gruden did to the 2002 Bucs.
