Bro, Madden sucks but it's the only NFL football game on the market. That's why the majority of people buy it. I betcha if 2K Sports announced they were making an NFL game, EA would probably lose at least half of there customers in an instant.

 

If EA was smart, they would take some features out of NFL 2k5 and implement it in Madden but nope...not happening.

 

NFL2K will always be brought up when talking about Madden. Get used to it if you haven't already.

It's the only NFL game because EA owns the rights to the NFL.

This is the first year Im not buying madden.

Sick and tired of their efforts to make the game better. They dont even try but they claim its so much better every year.

You guys should be smart and speak with your wallets too

My formula is to buy every 4 years. Yea its a roster update but there is at least one new feature by then. Still plenty of dumb fugs who buy every year though. Also people bragging about the infinite engine is laughable. Its a nice but the rest of the game is a recycle of something they did 4 years ago that didn't work.

Doing exactly what they're doing is the smart thing to do; their monopolization on the NFL Game market pretty much destroys any incentive to provide substantial game improvements, because they know either way, they have no competition. They don't have to improve on it much if at all year to year, people are still gonna buy it in hordes.

 

That being said, if they lost the license and 2k NFL started again, I think 1 of 2 things would happen.

 

1.) 2k would outsale Madden by a landslide (disgruntled NFL game fanbase over years of mediocrity)

 

2.) Madden would improve drastically (knowing they no have to compete)

 

Would be a win/win

 

unfortunatley, it's also probably never gonna happen.

I have been the biggest Madden critic as of late. Madden 13 was an absolute dud in every respect. I took it back to Walmart after 3 hours of playing it.

I do have to say though...judging from the demo, Madden 25 isn't half bad. Sure, it could definitely improve, and I think 2k could make a much better product. But the graphics, animations, and commentary are all far superior to the previous game.
