There are many backups that will likely be available once cuts start coming down that I would much rather have over DA. So, I'd welcome it.

That being said, the Jags have indeed cut Massoqui and the Saints have cut Seneca Wallace as well. It's possible the guy heard these cuts were coming from sources, but as is often the case in today's world of journalism, he tweeted it trying to be the first to break it.
