Hornets Primer?

Next year will be telling towards the future of the franchise.

Young unproven talented core group of players that we just complimented with a Veteran center (Al Jefferson) in free agency.

New coach & philosophy...

Not a bad time to start being a fan... tmost current fans have no idea how we will perform next season.

What the hell I like doing stuff like this:

PG - Kemba Walker: Potential star...no joke. His ball handling, defense, and driving ability make him a player to watch. Check his highlights out

(Bench: Ramon Sessions - arguably the best non-starting PG in the NBA, Jannero Pargo)

SG - Gerald Henderson: Drafted in 2009, has made himself into a solid starter. Great defender, Above average on offense, good foul shooter.

(Bench: Ben Gordon - huge 3 pt shooting threat if healthy and not being a dick)

SF - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: At only 20 years old, Kidd-Gilchrist may have the highest ceiling on the team. He gave the Bobcats the youngest player in the NBA for the 2nd year in a row when he started almost the whole season at 19. He's raw with crazy athleticism (dunks, blocks, steals, transition), a lot of potential but it may take a number of years.

(Bench: Jeff Taylor - Average shooter, slasher, defender, good value 2nd round pick)

PF - Cody Zeller: Taken with the 4th pick in the draft. Known for running the floor well in transition, has a post game beyond his years, can step out to mid-range somewhat consistently, and is a hard worker. He's no star, but he will start here for a while if we keep him here.

(Bench: Bismack Biyombo - from Congo at 21 years old/7'7" wing span shot blocker/raw athlete, Josh McRoberts- good passer/hard worker/can shoot from mid range, Anthony Toliver)

C - Big Al Jefferson: Bobcats key free agent aquisition. Top 10 C out of high school in '05. Arguably the best post player in the NBA today. Huge defensive liability but he claims to be working on it but an ELITE scorer and rebounder.

(Bench: Brendan Haywood - vet C than can be good in limited time off the bench if healthy, DeSagana Diop)

This team is a lot of fun to watch at times. Lots of highlights and crazy fun plays. But they're also very young and frustrating. That's about the best way to put it without typing too much. BUT, what I will say is that this is a much better put together team than you'd think.

    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
    • He is a diva, even with Baltimore winning, he will cry and pout and ask to be traded. He cares about his numbers and stats for his next contract. Ironically, his best chance to showcase his ability was with us, now he is just an afterthought.
