These rainbows and butterflies "ra ra Panthers are #1, #keeppounding" threads are just as annoying as the doom and gloom threads...it's like there's no middle ground. What's wrong with having concerns going into the season? I consider myself cautiously optimistic...is that ok? Do I have to be ALL IN and consider us the best team in the NFL? Cause I don't...but on the other hand I don't think we're doomed to mediocrity because of our o-line and the Philly game. I think we can at LEAST be competitive in every single game this season.

Anybody who needs a thread like this to sway you to feel good about your team needs to grow a spine...otherwise, everybody has already formed an opinion based on what they've seen, and nothing you say will change that. I've accepted that there will always be homers and Debbie Downers...I'd just like to leave them in their own alternate reality where everything is perceived in extremes.

No he has it right.  You are the fool to be concerned yet.  If we suck once the season starts then the smart fans will begin to get concerned.  It seems you emos want to be the first to say they are concerned so if we do struggle you can be the first to say I told you so.

Be sensible then when it counts which is the regular season.  When everyone has come out including the players and said what we are running in the preseason game is not what we are going to run during the season, there is little to believe that what is happening on the field in preseason will resemble what will happen when games begin.  So your concern is what is foolish mot people like me pointing out the obvious.  If we suck during the season then be concerned and everyone will join you.  Until then you are out in left field with the other emos.

You are probably right about the names so I apologize.  Still I don't think of emo as name calling as much as describing one's emotional state. But then again I counsel emo folks all the time.
