Judging from the preseason threads, this may be the biggest emo season ever on the huddle. i will check and see if Vinny has any evanescence to play on gameday.

 

 

I'm sure he'd throw in some Death Cab for good measure.

 

 

 

 

sidenote: I'm going with his company for my wedding, thanks for the recommendation

I actually started watching football the year we went 1-15, and they have been my team ever since! I always hold out hope. We know a lot about the team, we follow them. We see what others don't, so what they see as homerism, we see as simple knowledge of the true talent/ability of the team. And since we are so close to the team, it hurts like mess to see them not meet the expectations we KNOW they can. Its part of being a fan!

You see, this is my problem with the huddle. This is how my mind works, in my mind the Panthers are going to go 16-0 and win the Super Bowl this year, next year and every year the NFL still exists. You can't tell me otherwise. The Panthers are my religion and Cam is my savior.  Yeah, we might have some OL and Secondary problems, and you know what? we probably won't go 16-0, but I'm still believing. It's one thing to be a big Panther fan but it's something else to live the lifestyle. Living the lifestyle is getting up every Sunday and hoping for a win no matter who your facing or who your QB is or what the team's record is. I can't stand the Naysayers. This is the best team we have had in years, get on that bandwaggon cause we dat deal.

Look bro's, I get the whole "stay positive" and "Panther Nation" mantra, I really do. I am proudly part of that nation but I'm reserving the right to look at things realistically. Our schedule, our oline depth, and our coaching staff is cause for concern. Period. I hope like hell Chico & Co. Prove me wrong and that our oline stays healthy and that some of the teams we play stumble. But until any of that happens I refuse to get to high.

You sir, need not make any justifications. You are the truth. You get loud at games and cheer for the home team, while trying to make visiting fans uncomfortable. One day I will be at a home Panthers game and we will drink beer and be merry and cheer loudly and when they yell at us to sit down, we'll turn and do a dual superman pose and tell them to fug off. When we are in the holding cell playing checkers I'll let you choose color.

I approve of this post. Eternally optimistic about my team. fug all the idiots who stew over vanilla preseason schemes. I wonder if those guys know that on most of Cam's horrid passes this preseason, he was rolling out of the pocket and if it were a real game, he'd have probably ran for a first down. Even though the huddle is the greatest forum in the history of forums, it's still a forum, and in any forum there will be chicken littles and trolls alike.

Oh yeah well this is how my mind works

If they will, they're 1-0. If they don't, I still think they're 1-0.

I figure since I'm not realistic enough to understand this team is not perfect, I might as well just hallucinate black and blue dynasties.

I basically cheer for the Panthers and hoot and holler and when they suck I just go play Madden and win superbowls to take my pain away. So if the Panthers are good, I don't play much Madden.

I've been playing a lot if madden the past few years. A lot of madden.

This was where the "must win" thread came from.

 

It wasn't literal, it wasn't speaking in absolutes.  It's coming from the perspective of a fan who has endured many a disappointment and is hoping for the best.  BUT, it is show and prove time.  Once we do, I am overdosing on the kool-aid.
