That women was in her legal rights to take the rhubarb, if you have an apple tree and the limbs hang over your fence in a public space then anyone can take the apples.

I love that old lady and would make sweet love to her,over and over and over....I bet she talks nasty in bed.

The problem with that is that a municipalities easement that prohibits a homeowner from constructing a fence against the street doesn't translate into public space. You are assuming that the deeded property ends at that persons fence when I bet it goes to the paved street.

If the rhubarb was growing in the street or if your apple tree hangs over the street then yes anyone can take it.
