Zone read rushes

QBs like Cam are nonexistent. Athletes like Cam are not that rare. Most division 1 colleges have a few guys as big and fast as Cam. Of course they don't have his ability to throw the laser darts all over the field though.

RG3 has elite speed and acceleration and Kap is no slouch. They don't grow on trees either.

Well, guys with comparable skill sets simply exist to the others....they may turned out to be better players but many are molded and exist

They don't with someone like Cam....the real freaks generally don't play QB. Or more accurately, they don't. He is unique.

Cam is probably the best read option QB in the NFL....

Only one built to be hit and last

Only one with RB caliber vision

RGIII IMO should have the zone read is almost a trick play....Cam is built and good enough where it can be used every week

Agreed!! I thought I was watching a different Carolina Panther team with Cam at the helm because I don't recall a defensive tackle catching Cam out in the open field. Only safeties and cornerbacks catch Cam. Unless he slowed up and cut back or got sacked in the pocket.

There was a film study on our read option last year and out of the almost 200 time we ran it we only had 7 negative or zero yardage plays and almost all of them were misreads.

Misreads will happen from time to time so you can put that on Cam if you want but that is being a bit nitpicky IMO.

The negative plays are because of misreads and missed assignments and have nothing to do with Cam's acceleration or speed.

I don't know what film study you are referring to but my own personal film study (watching every game) showed a hell of lot more than 7.
