Please. Numerous arguments have made unto you within the course of this thread. Instead of seeing them, you've cowered behind "zomg! we can't judge him based on one game guiz!" (in spite of the fact that a number of people countering that exact statement) and cliche'd, overdone internet insults. I would like some proof of Mitchell's overwelming flagrent play while in Oakland. Since Growl knows so much of his history.

 

How many 15 yard penalties has he had in his career? How mant times was he fined for Cheap shots and late hits? Is it more then the normal ammount a lot of Safeties players are getting now trying to adjust to the new rules?

But doesn't his history show that he can't get the job done?  It seems the only ones touting him are the local media guys who have shown their own history of not having a clue what they are looking at in camp. Where did this idea that he was good come from?

I am much more comfortable with SS than I am with FS. Aside from Mitchell there is still Anderson Russell (who has been getting his name mentioned due to his performance in preseason games on both D & ST), DJ Campbell (whom scouts were high on, though last year's final Saints game he got picked on the entire game by Brees), and Robert Lester (if we could stash him on the practice squad that'd be a steal).

FS behind Godfrey there's... Colin Jones and Haruki Nakamura... ew...

Though I guess DJ Moore could also maybe be thrown into that mix?

It's been a proven fact that a lot of players haven't looked good in that Raiders system but went to other teams and showed talent.

 

Marlon Mcree was highly thought of before he came here then had a pro bowl season with us.

 

A change of scenery has helped a lot of players.

And once again you expect me to go gallivanting around the internet for information that is common to any fan who doesn't formulate their opinions of players from 3 minute youtube propoganda pieces. Why should I have to go through the effort of pointing what has been confirmed in the context of this thread as common information to any football fan who doesn't exclusively watch the Panthers?
