I grow less and less fond of Mike Mitchell.

While I disagreed with the original statement those trying to argue that the opinion expressed was correct or incorrect are being absurd. The thread was about his opinion and judgement of the situation. It spurred a conversation that was valid. The told you crowd is annoying.

If you're going to jump out and start a thread making these kinds of statements about a guy, and be as categorically wrong as the OP was, then you're going to have to answer for it when the player proves your characterizations invalid. If you guys want to let him out the back door based on a few qualifiers then you're more than welcome, but that doesn't change the fact that he came pretty strong at a player and was incorrect in his assessment.

What it ultimately boils down to is two types of people. Those who are willing to wait and gather information, formulate opinions on what they know, and keep an open mind, and those who get themselves emotionally involved in causes they try to rah rah around.

In this case you were the latter, and it backfired because you tried to attack one of the former. I'd just admit you were wrong, bro. Quit being so prideful.

I'm sure glad Mr. Scot was there to set the record straight (repeatedly) by telling us there were unequivocally no racists on the huddle.

Never said there weren't racists. Just said that not everyone who was against drafting Newton was doing so for racist reasons.

You still trying to prove that any and all criticism of Newton equals racism?

Absolutely not, I've never said anything of the sort. However, I will not simply bury my head in the sand about this either.

knock it off. both of you. i don't care who starts it.... don't keep it going. understood?
