I think catching it that way helped his momentum keep going forward whereas if he turned his hands outward he probably would have had to turn his body towards the inside of the field.

 

correct.  if he had turned his hands outward at that angle he would have lost his forward momentum in doing so, i've never seen or made any catches that even resembeled that, but it was a very nice adjustment

Gettis is running great crisp routes. He has caught everything thrown his way. He has looked legit.

 

Yet some Huddlesrz are still not happy. No surprise there.

That catch is exactly why LaFell originally coined the name "Blankman" for Gettis when they were rookies. Sometimes he catches like. . . . . uhhh hhuuuh cmon hit that play button on the vid you know you have to.
