i'm not suggesting we should all be bananas planning for a poo season from two preseason games where our first string scored 13 points in 8 possessions, but i am saying there are signs suggesting it could be a long year.

The only thing I will take away from this game is a lesson in perspective.  Philly has first home game under new regime right after FA defensive addition calls his teammates "soft".  They needed not only a win but to show the fans something to get excited about.

 

Panthers needed to see if Fua, Poole and other bubble guys were worth keeping around and to work on timing.  Even though we gave up some runs I liked our tackling for the most part and the secondary is coming around.  Even if defense did not look top 10 does it matter?  No.  They got some good work.

 

Philly might have accomplished their goal but they also put some tape out there for their division opponents.  Was it worth it?  To them it was.  Do I believe for a minute that a regular season matchup against this offense would produce the same results?  No.

 

On to Game 3, keep everyone healthy.
