Fun note, Vinny Curry for the Eagles who I pegged as the best pass rusher in last years draft was in beast mode.

Remember that Harbaugh was a QB in the NFL for years and was an NFL coordinator before becoming a head coach in college.  Even Spurrier had more NFL experience than Chip Kelly who has none. 

 

I remember the previous coach of the 9ers being a pretty good Linebacker and a decent coordinator in the NFL. However, it didn't work out too well as a head coach.

 

It's obviously too early to make any judgment, but I sure do love what I'm seeing from Chip so far. It's a nice fresh start, considering I've seen the same O for the previous 14 years.

Amen butha!  I know they plan on taking a couple years to build this thing the way they foresee it and there will be some rough stretches on the way to that goal, but it sure is refreshing to see a different offense after watching the same old thing for so many years. Hell, the Chip Kelly experiement may be a total bust but I am holding out hope that it works and at least I should be entertained along the way.

Don't blame you.  I would be happy too.  But temper that with the notion that with each week, teams are getting film on Philly and will be gameplanning to stop him. Last night we gameplanned zero and held out a number of guys.  The biggest concern is that Chip Kelly has never gone beyond a 11 or 12 week schedule.  Lets see how guys hold up all year long.  Tampa had the same problem last year with Schiano.  They were great guns the first half of the year and lost most all the games the second half.
