Seriousness? Rivera has no sense of urgency at all and it rubs off on our players

First throw for Cam shoulda have been a deep ball to Gettis or Ginn, period. That aggression doesn't exist though

D.will got like 13 straight carries, we couldn't even see what the other RB could do in the 1st half? Im completely done seeing us getting eliminated from contention then all of a sudden these unknown players pop out cause at that point it doesn't matter

WTF??

I've been kind of iffy on Shula but if that is the type of play calling we get then I'm afraid we are leaving our defense out to dry. Against on offense like that you have to match their intensity or else your defense is going to be exhausted.

One thing I was disappointed by was the officiating. They seemed to be trying to keep up and missed several holding calls.

Agreed, it's a small sample. But it's all about the calls he makes. The tempo thing has been proven to be advantageous for offenses, even in the pros. And although its a huge transition from college to the pros, he has shown the knack for making the right calls.

I'm reminded of when Rick Pitino got an NBA job. People questioned whether he could run the same super fast style of basketball effectively at the pro level over a full season. Turned out the answer was no.

Pitino supporters thought he'd run other teams ragged. What they didn't count on was his running his own team ragged. Worth remembering that opponents will only have to keep that pace for one or two games. The Eagles will have to keep it up or a full season.

Kelly could indeed be successful with the fast paced stuff. It's worked before for teams like the Patriots, Bills and others. But this version is faster than anything I've seen before and Kelly isn't used to having players in their late 20s and 30s playing a 16 game season (plus preseason, plus postseason if you're successful).

Got a feeling this first year will be a learning experience for him. After that, we'll see.

Yes, it could work. Or you could end up with a situation like Tampa had last year with Veteran players grumbling that the coaching staff needed to go 'back to college'.
