Coach Rivera Not Losing Sleep Over Job Security. Just Doing His Best

Can The [blind] Rivera defenders finally give up about how good he was the last two years???  :phew:

Case closed! He was simply unprepared!

Yes, he may one day be a good coach in the future (as many here wish/expect). Nonetheless, there were so many here quick to throw Cam under the bus, instead of/before Rivera. I always believed Rivera was a much worse HC, than Cam was a young QB (in comparison, not to re-start an argument), and could never understand those sentiments. I also felt, Rivera contributed to more of the losses as well.

Can you imagine: A clueless HC; young clueless coordinators, with clueless coaches, all supported by a clueless GM. No wonder the Panthers were good talented [the past two years], but could never get it together during games, to win enough (and why they all agreed to extend the Read Option package in anticipation of 2012 defenses, not in response to). SMH

The only thing that  you can count on with Rivera is; he learned his lessons (Gasp), the future, and Gettleman being there offering guidance, and looking over his shoulder (and maybe Shula being a better than expected coordinator)?

I sure hope so, and  wish him and the team well!

OK, I'm done/Sorry for the Pre-Game Semi-Rant.

I just hated the fact that he started coaching scared/by the book to cover his butt.

I don't want to hear about fuq'g percentages, coach from your gut. My god you've been in football all your life.

The percentages recommend being much more aggressive, not less. Conservative coaching doesn't have much behind it, frankly.

A guy humble enough to know he doesn't know everything and is willing to ask other coaches for advice is exactly the kind of coach we need.  Rivera will be successful this year as will we.  I said I think he is learning and progressing and everything points to that being true.  Obviously the proof is in the wins but honestly everything points in a positive direction.  I am excited to see us return to the top of the division where we belong.
