Are we the only team who doesn't scrimmage other teams?

I've been seeing a lot recently about teams practicing with other teams and scrimmaging. Can someone explain (besides JR being cheap) why we do not do this? New England and Tampa are doing it this week, Atlanta and Cincy did it last week. I remember years ago at Furman, we'd practice with the Falcons occasionally. Would this not be beneficial? Get an idea of what some other teams are fielding or atleast the mental preparation of going against someone else in practice.

I definitely wouldn't do Atlanta, but we have the Titans and Redskins close enough.

that's what preseason games are for.

anyway, with the injury to brady because of an over-aggressive bucs player, how can anyone think that this is a good idea?

having 4 meaningless games in which starters can get hurt is bad enough.

I dont see why it would be such a bad idea if all they did was wrap up and no one could hit the QBs (Just like it is done in mini-camp) At the very least it would make the players compete harder which in turn could only make them better

Nevermind, I just saw how Tom Brady got hurt....

That's exactly how it's supposed to be, unfortunately there are players that don't care (Vontaze Burfict, Adrian Clayborn).
