O-Line Depth

Figured this was worth it's own thread.  Rivera just announced Bruce Campbell is out with torn rotator, likely for the season. He wasn't great but he was our own only proven backup at Tackle.

Our RG position is still up in the air (likely Williams but still unknown).

At this point, I think we need to pickup 2-3 vet players at minimum to feel comfortable during the season.  Going to be very difficult because all teams are going to want O-line depth.

Sure, I do too.  Point is, we are are in serious need for some O-line and we may be forced to spend money we were intending to save.  Not a good position to be in.  We have lost any/all leverage we had with some of the FA prospects.

We need to pick up as many RG/RT's as we can get.

And at least someone who can pretend to be a LT. There's Gross and.... Nate Chandler now? I've been saying it for months, but if Gross misses anytime, our left side will be even more garbage than our right side. Amini isn't good enough to anchor that side.

Yeah, we need a lot of upgrades and a lot of backups. I think Gettleman saved money for just this reason.

The OL will be the downfall of this team. You are limited in how far the rest of your team can take you with no offensive line. You can't hide it. I think they can find something to improve the situation but the whole thing is a gamble.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
