Over the summer everybody shouted at me that guard can be filled with just about anybody. I disagree. We are putting that theory to the test this year.

Guards are easier to find in general. We'll see what we can find post cuts. I'm more worried about LT depth. If gross gets injured we are almost as screwed as if Cam gets injured.

The best plan we have as fans does not always equate to the best plans by the FO. I wish i knew what they were thinking, however i do know you cant have Pro Bowlers at every position. you have to gamble in some spots.  We see the money left over and think of how we want to spend it. But its Gettlemans job to shape this team. we wont ever agree with everything he does.

May be a package deal (one Hixon, for your Edwards, and/or  Gettis).

 

You know how that goes. Unless, Gettleman, expressly told Ronnie, "you don't have to keep him, if you don't want to". And even that would be cloudy to Rivera, I'm sure. Lol He's looking at Hixon, as "The GM's pick/choice".

Yep, Campbell and Chandler looked pretty bad at LT. Oline depth is a real concern for this team.

However [like I said], I think that would depend on how strongly Gettleman feels about Hixon. You know, like "Hey Ronnie. Trust me. This guys can play, do it. I know he doesn't look as impressive now. But this guy will perform BIG, during the big games" That happens to

 

Remember, training camp isn't everything, when you're dealing with experienced players, with a reference point. I dunno, in this example.

I don't think they will....I don't think DG is committed to spending real cash on this O until Rivera's fate is determined this year
