Soccer '13-'14 season

"It's definitely the best atmosphere in The MLS."

Seattle's atmosphere impresses me. I'm not a fan of ultra atmosphere - I like the noise, pyro etc. but it's only really from one block while the rest of the stand and stadium is lifeless. I prefer atmospheres where the whole stadium is rocking. I've been to around 70 of the 92 Premiership and Football League grounds with my soccer team and we're seeing more of this ultra atmosphere here. Give me West Brom, Spurs or Everton's atmosphere over that any day. Seattle reminds me of it, and I love seeing whole stands/stadiums standing for the whole game too.

We need to bring back safe standing, or preferrably all-out terracing. Hopefully this will lower prices as well as improve the atmosphere.

"You should consider Fulham [to support]"

I dislike £ulham after a sad incident between our fans which I won't bore you with, but there are many other reasons. They made their way from the bottom of the Football League to the Premier League after being bankrolled by a sugar-daddy. They've outstayed their welcome and only make up the numbers in the league. Their support is made up of tourists.

Terrible decision by the official. Carroll flies in and hits Migs in the face. Goal stands. Assistant even flags straight away.

Carroll was out for blood the whole game. Glad we got a test like that before the city match. We need to be in top form come Sunday.

I like Carroll as a player, but looking at the England squad we have a wealth of targetmen, but no-one really to play off other than Defoe who's been so criminally underused that there's no chance he'll go now. Rooney and Sturridge are both undroppable at the moment so they'll be the striking partnership I think.

Sky Sports News are claiming that Tim Sherwood will be replaced in the Summer - definitely the right decision in my eyes. I couldn't stand his conduct either. Norwich were probably right to get rid of Houghton, but left it too late. Do it in the Summer or 1/2 months back like Palace did, not with a few games left.

RM draws Bayern Munich in the CL. Rumor is they'll be without CR7 for the first game in Madrid. Welp.....it's been fun boys and girls....

How are they going to do the legs? I thought UCL couldn't play in the same country on back-to-back days in knockout stage. Will Atletico travel or will Real travel? I'd prefer Atletico be in Spain so Chelsea have to travel to Spain 4 days prior to playing LFC.

Not sure about AM and Chelsea but I do know that RM is at home for the first leg. If that is a rule then I would assume AM and Chelsea is at Stamford Bridge for the first leg.

Hmm. I guess I made that rule up.

"On the field, the city of Madrid will host the first two matches on April 22 and 23, as Atletico first hosts Chelsea at the Vicente Calderon Stadium one night before Madrid welcomes defending champion Bayern to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium."

I can't wait for today's game :) A Liverpool win is a big ask but will be massive, I'd take Liverpool winning the title over bankrolled Man City and Chelsea.

I went to Leyton Orient with my club, Gillingham, yesterday. The game kicked off at 7 minutes past 3 because of the Hillsborough anniversary, but I was still back in the pub by 3.45pm as we were dreadful :( We have a rule - leave when we concede the 3rd, and I was still debating whether to leave or not at that point as it was only the 34th minute. Literally 10 seconds after we kicked off we conceded the 4th, so that made our mind up for us! It finished 5-1 - horrific.
