Soccer '13-'14 season

I'm probably going to be an Everton fan. They seem to be the most USA friendly club.

You should consider Fulham. USA friendly, and starting next season, it'll only take 2 minutes out of your week to watch them (on YouTube). Leaves your weekends wide open.

Barcelona banned for a year from transfer window. Wow, they were gonna sale and buy many players this summer.

Yea they were rumored to be bringing in Hummels, Gundogan and ter Stegan for starters and had just finalized a deal for Croatian wonder kid Alen Halilovic which I'm guessing will now be void. Not to mention the club has said they were willing to spend up to 120 million Euros to replace Puyol, Xavi and potentially Iniesta. Don't mind me, but as a Real fan I'm just gonna enjoy this....

Feel like they needed a third goal in the half to take Dortmund completely out of the game. Worst fear for Madrid is heading to Germany with only a one to two goal cushion and Lewandowski back....

Friendly vs Mexico last night. Great first half for the stars and stripes last night, but fell apart in the second. That said, they also got screwed on three straight calls inside the last 15 minutes, including a clear goal that was flagged offsides. Julian Green made his debut last night, and while he did a few nice things he looked very nervous. Chris Wondolowski continued his incredible form in international play, grabbing another goal off of a Michael Bradley header in the penalty area. That's 9 goals in the last 10 CAP's for the Brazil hopeful....

On the transfer front

According to Cadena Cope Radio (same outlet that first reported interest in Isco, Illara and that Ozil would be sold so some legitimate info), Real Madrid has set their sights on Ivan Rakitic as a potential replacement for Xabi Alonso. Hopefully they're still going after Pogba too. Pogba is on the verge of becoming a very special player, and he would be an ideal replacement if the club moves on from Sami Khediera. It will be interesting to see what happens in the midfield with the given interest in Rakitic and Pogba, especially with di Maria asserting himself as a world class player yet again playing an AM role in Ancelottis system.
