Soccer '13-'14 season

Could have been far worse than 1-0. That free kick that drilled the crossbar was intense.

Gotta give props to Norwich, they played their hearts out today. We played like absolute poo.

This is embarrassing... feels like we just lost to the Browns or something. Not a happy day

Wait.. WTH? I thought we were cool bro.  :growl:

We're cool but you guys breathing down our necks and Spurs have the easiest schedule remaining out of top 5 teams.  You guys looked gassed, I think Dnipro game took a toll on ur guys.  Arsenal march games are Everton, Munich, Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester City... Gives Arsenal a little breather.

We did looked gassed. The fact is, they out-hustled us the entire game, and we deserved the loss. It didn't help we showed some wonky tactics, and I still can't figure out what formation we were trying to pull off there the first half. Whatever it was, it sure didn't work at all.

In the words of the immortal Foxball: "We had a bad day to have a bad day." smh

DAMN YOU ROW 1A!!!! I'm still bringing a flag to hang. those people in front of me can eat poo and die for doing more research than me.

Yeah, we got burned on that too the first time we tried to get front row seats. What the hell kind of BS is Row 1 and 1A? First row should be first row, end of story.

Instead we were made to move back one row by a bunch of wine and cheese Abercrombie & Fitch rejects who showed up in the middle of the second quarter, with two girlfriends who were more interested in chatting about the latest gossip columns than watching the game.

Needless to say, I was pissed. I could have dealt with it, had they at least been real fans. Not some 20-somethings who were there to preen more than support our team.

Do you think it's safe to say Soldado is gone this summer? Dude had 2 prime chances coming on as a sub and didn't even manage to put them on net.

Nah.. I don't believe this summer. If he does't come good by next January though, possibly. Right now, he's a striker that isn't getting it done, which means his sell on value is crap. Levy made the mistake of buying him for 28m, and most we could get for him is around 10m right now. That's a huge loss and Levy most likely would rather keep him on and see if he improves next season before taking that hit. He's always about the business first (which is also why we keep "just missing" on a lot of things).

Guy just absolutely lacks confidence at this point. Not sure why, but he's missing the simplest of kicks now, and it shows in his performances like yesterday. I feel bad for him mainly... lots of pressure due to his pricetag, no service to speak of at the beginning of the year, and nothing to show for his hard work throughout the season. Another case where AVB screwed us over with his rigid and inflexible tactics.

I would hope they would ship him out for the sake of winning. I suppose not. Perhaps Tottenham can treat Soldado the way Liverpool treated Carroll. Loan him out and increase the value enough to be worth a sale. Cut your losses an move on.
