Soccer '13-'14 season

That was a terrific game for my guys. I saw the lineup and thought Sherwood had lost his mind, but it really worked for us against Newcastle. We owned that game from start to finish, and had a heck of a result. It's nice to be on the plus side for a change!

Nice gift for Liverpool.

Yea. Sturridge made a good play to get himself into space, and while he could have scored/set up a goal from that position, it would have been tough. Riether just got too ambitious when Liverpool kept attacking relentlessly. I honestly feel that, regardless of what happened there, Liverpool would have set up at least one more really good opportunity.

I agree. Fulham were going to try to park the bus for the last 5 minutes, and it was going to turn into the same Man U style shooting gallery that happened on Sunday. But to lose that way would've been less frustrating than losing on such a clumsy penalty.

No doubt. It's always frustrating to leave your keeper on an island to win/lose the match. You would always rather the last chance occur in open play. What's lost in all this is that the keeper actually made a great decision and play on the ball. Stevie G just dialed it in.
