Was at the  97 game(Fred Lane breakout vs Oakland) Easily the best crowd  I've been a part of.

Two in 2012 (that Seahawks and Titans games ugh)  crowd sucked because the games sucked

2 in 2011(saints game Smitty fight)   Jaguars (Cam and Rivera's first win)  Both pretty good crowds

One in 2010  ugh Clausen  defeats the Cardinals  -Who cares wasn't subpar but wasn't special either

I've been to a lot of Panthers games and not once have I ever thought it was half as bad as some haters on here try to make out.

Last time I went to a bunch of games in one season was the 2008 and crowed noise was just fine, you just have to give the fans a reason to cheer that's all that's missing.

Not trying to be an ass but serious question. Have you spent time in other stadiums? College or Pro? Appstate makes a Panthers game seem quiet. I went to a preseason game in Seattle that was as loud as our few playoff games......and it was because people were standing and yelling not because of stadium design. I wont even get into the Green Bay crowd and how intense they were.

The stadium design is not an excuse either i've heard that place loud at college games.  The 2008 UNC WVU game.  Each teams fans on big plays were louder than i've heard at any panthers game and that was just with whatever half of the stadium was cheering.

I went to Charlotte to see the Carolina- Raiders game last year.  Some dueche behind me kept getting mad when I stood up when we were on defence, said something about you only stand up on offence?? I stood up the rest of the game just to piss him off (and cause I was drunk and we were winning).

I so remember that game. First time the police were in abundant attendance lol.  Right in front of us, Panthers OL started fighting with Raiders D when they hit Fred out of bounds.  Just about emptied our side line too.

I also remember many games when the stadium was loud & rocking.  96 was a helluva year for fans and we let the team know.

Oddly, lately, some of the loudest were when half the crowd had left (usually because of weather) leaving only us die-hard fans behind.

a few different teams and players over the years have claimed that seattle pipes in crowd noise. nothing was ever proven though.

I really doubt they do. I went to our game there in 2010; the fans are that into it. When everyone you can see is standing and yelling, there's no need for piped noise. when clausen threw a pick six to tatupu, I thought the place was collapsing
