Notice the media slowly building Cam up?

Well, that TD was really the opportunity for us....if we were going to comeback THAT moment was the starting point. If we had then scored 16 more points in a quarter and a half.....no one would have thought twice about it.

Well we didn't and Cam ultimately got pulled from the game and Smitty got on him for sulking. I guess Smitty should not have said anything bc the Mannings act the same way.

Good point...I agree that poor sport and pouting is what comes to mind when I think about Peyton Manning. His brother too....

This place is something....

It's not what you think about them because you don't let it be. It is what you think about Cam because it's how you prefer to think about him. Your reasons why are your own, but they aren't rational.

It's not what I think about Cam. I simply stated Cams attitude during loses gave the ESPNs of the world extra ammo...then everyone jumped on me for being a "cam hater."

This is so ironic, considering "Smitty" sulked in a game, late last season, when he botched up a play. And it was clearly visible and noted.

In addition: We all love Steve of course. But is it lost on you (even the slightest), you're using a guy as an example, who was the epitome of immaturity, rage and hooliganism early in his career? Much more so than Cam ever was/is now?

And like I said, he [smitty] clearly sulked on the side line after a big missed play last year (during a tight game)? I'm sure someone will bring it up, remember it, if you don't already. Where were you on that (and Thomas Davis's, reported crying/balling after a loss)?

Nonetheless, keep living in your double standard, alternate universe.

The real question, is who has changed? Is it Cam or the media? Prisco's tweet suggests that Cam has changed.

@PriscoCBS: West Coast crowd: My chat with Cam Newton. I think he has changed. http://t.co/qz3emuPf5T

I don't think he's "Changed". Grown, learned a llittle, a lot (presumably). Yes.

"Changed, infers he had big problems to begin with; needed wholesales changes, and now is "different". And despite the continual media Tempest in a Teapot, regarding Cam. That just isn't true (on or off the field). I don't think that's the case at all. Cam was always a good guy. He didn't change for Prisco. He just never spoken to him (as he admitted) at length before.

In a reasonable environment; Newton, would be allowed to grow outside of an overtly critical fishbowl (relatively speaking), like any other young NFL star. However, certain people have agenda's, which won't allow this.

Pantgers v Giants 2012.

That TD made it a two possession game while still in the third quarter. We were far from out of it and it was an attempt to get the crowd and team fired up.

Just out of curiosity, did you hold that same contempt for Jake Delhomme when he entered the third quarter down by 17 against the Jags and was running around slapping helmets and getting fired up after every good play?

I think what certain posters don't' realize is: We're not telling them not to have an opinion, or believe what they want to believe. Of course they can, and are entitled to. Absolutely.

Some of us, are just trying to point out the hypocrisy and double standards they have for certain players and situations (in contrast). That's all.

I actually find it amusing, each time we witness it, especially regarding Cam.
