Better panther peppers or Jenkins?

Well... Coleman played for the Raiders, considering you didn't seem to know that I doubt your actually even know how Coleman impacted the game.

Yes, I'm aware that Jenkins was a 3X All Pro, I'm also aware that Jenkins  only had three solid years in his career due to injuries. Not to mention playing with Peppers, Rucker, Buckener, Wallace etc... elevated his game.

Now you are jumping to your silly conclusions again. I actually judge Coleman on his play, not who he played for or with on the D-line. So far you have used stats and his 2x All pro as your case. How about you use some of your own data? I watched Coleman, both with The Raiders and Falcons and he have always been a gap shooter with no abilities to stop the run. Hell he was so at East Carolina.

If you are aware of Jenkins 3x All Pro, then why would you choose Colemans 2x All Pro as evidence he is a better player? And on top of that question my intelligence?  That seems idiotic to me. Come clean, you are 20 years old and have never seen Coleman play other than on youtube, therefor you choose stats as your case.

But the fact is, he was a bad run stopper.

You're really reaching...

Not only are you putting words in my mouth but you are trying to use my age to tell me that I don't know anything? I'm probably the only person on this message board that actually works for football team that isn't peewee or high school. By the way, I have actually seen Coleman play, quite a few teams considering my father has had PSL's since 98.

I know Coleman's game and I'm very aware of what he can and can't do. You tend to diminish Coleman's accolades because he wasn't as good of a run stuffer as he was pass rusher. He wasn't a liability in the run game, he just simply wasn't as good as a run stopper as he was a pass rusher.

I chose Coleman because he was never called out for giving 100% and no one ever question his drive like they did Jenkins. Not to mention that he was a better pass rusher. Sure, Jenkins was a better run stuffer but at the end of the day I will take the guy that gives 100% all the time.

Any who, to answer the op's question, the answer is Peppers... and before you say that I haven't seen Peppers play or only watch him on YouTube. I'm actually pretty good friends with the man that recruited Peppers to UNC.

i looked at that question. i thought it might be interesting to ponder. the more i did, the more i realized i just don't care.

i'm too focused on the here and now to care about those relics.

we are embarking on what could be a great year and looking forward to what could be a great future. peppers and jenks.....meh. old news. this might be better for me to dwell on in the middle of the offseason but right now? nah.

Sure, I am the one reaching. Why use stats and All Pro as your case if you have seen him play? And why question my intelligence by using All Pro were Jenkins have more?

But congrats on knowing Peppers recruiter, I guess that means you have won the debate.

I was simply stating that Coleman was a 2x All-Pro. I didn't say that I thought Coleman was better because he was a 2x All-Probselection.

I also use stats because they help qualify an argument. Like let's say we're arguing all-time best seasons as a receiver well stats are going to tell you that Steve Smith's triple crown season was one of the best seasons by a wide receiver ever.

But hey if talking down to people and making assumptions helps you sleep better at night then whatever...

Either you enjoy debating a non-important issue to no end, or you're Kris Jenkins.

The irony there is incredible...you're probably the most condescending poster on this board and it's not even close.  And assumptions?

Gimme a break... another person that hasn't coached pretending like he knows it all.
That's literally the last post you made directed towards me...yeah you never make assumptions...oh and you're definitely not a hypocrite either!

Bottom line is you wouldn't have brought up Coleman being a 2-time All-Pro if you knew Jenkins was a 3-time All-Pro, unless you're just being plain stupid.  You're too stubborn to even admit you were wrong in a little detail.

That's like if we were debating who's better between Kobe and LeBron and someone said: "Kobe vs. LeBron?  Blah blah blah...insert stats here."  And then concluding with: "The obvious choice is 2-time NBA champion LeBron James".  See how silly that sounds (Kobe has 5 championships in case you didn't know)?  Obviously you're not saying Coleman is better because he was a 2-time All-Pro, but you're using the fact that he was a 2-time All-Pro to boost him up by highlighting his achievements...which is foolish considering the guy he's being compared to his him one-upped there.

Don't bother arguing with this guy...he will NEVER admit he's wrong about anything cause he doesn't possess even a shred of humility.  He comes across (to me) as a self-entitled little punk...I really only try to tolerate him cause he copy/pastes all the training camp tweets into each thread.

More assumptions and then attempting to call someone out on the Internet? You're own user name speaks volumes to how self-entitled you are.

The real key is that you clearly already had a problem with me so I'm certain that you didn't even look to see what prompted my reaction.

Anywho, you're ot even worth my time.

I liked Jenkins a lot, and preffered him as a player while they were both here. I don't know why their was a whole "run stuffer" conversation, Jenkins was also tremendous against the pass. All that said, Jenkins missed two seasons and then bitched his way out of here. Peppers rarely missed time and only had one down season; he did also bitch his way out of here, but he put in so much more time that it eliminates most debate. It's peppers in a landslide IMO.
