What's with all the "good for him" talk? Season ending injuries are devastating to a UFA.

Sad to see a Panther go down, I wish him a speedy recovery.

Once he's on IR it's a good chance he'll be a Panther next year. I think that's why.

I think it's more of a "well it sucks he had to get a season ending injury but at least they put him on IR so he's still with the team" thing.

Well, I will give Zordich this: he looks like a load to bring down.  God bless the first would be tackler on any given play. The are going to get hit, run over, or possibly go for a ride.

I understand that, but it's a tough situation regardless. Even worse being a UFA

Unfortunately for him there's no guarantee we won't find someone better to replace him in the meantime, pushing him out. Not to mention it's not a guarantee that he won't have setbacks, or even be the same player again.

The injury obviously sucks because players want to compete, however if he can return healthy next year he has a great shot at being Tolbert's backup.

 

With Mike going on IR and Brockel becoming a free agent next year, Zordich is lined up to succeed Brockel as Tolberts backup if he takes care of that injury.
