I still chuckle at how this place reacts to David Gettis.

 

Stuff like, "How much longer?" comments just trip me up.  I mean compared to Armanti...those kind of comments are pathetic.  Armanti Edwards has had FOREVER to make an impact...and he has 5 catches.  Gettis can, and WILL run circles around Edwards.  5 catches...IN THREE YEARS.  Nice guy...but he's crap.

 

See, now that comment I made will get responses blaming the coaches...but when Gettis defenders blamed coaches, they were laughed at.

So, let me get this straight. You call out people for supposedly trashing Gettis, and then abruptly yet very casually trash Edwards? I don't understand this logic, especially if you call yourself a real Panthers fan.

 

I'm rooting for both of them, they play for my team. Both of them being successful can only help this squad.

Gettis is what he is.... a 6th round pick. nothing less nothing more. How long we gonna wish upon a star...

And since Lafell is more and more a top WR this is very promising for the Wr corp.

....mmmm lets say the 7th round...the difference is they actually have touchdowns to their credit....of course i want to see Gettis do well but we've seen the story too many times with Hurney drafted WR's.

Gettis had three TDs his rookie year. Just sayin'.  Fourth in receiving for rookies. He wasn't a slouch.

Gettis has the most Raw talent of any WR on this roster. If he can get it going between his ears. He should be on this roster.

You can also make the argument that he has the most pro ready body and speed to develop into a number 1.

He doesn't have the hands just yet though

They moved LaFell around more than Gettis so LaFell was doing more. He was/still is more polished and so I can understand why. I dont think I would compare the two since they were asked to do different things.

Oops...my bad.... Closton has 58, Cruz has 19, Johnson has 25... total for career. Alls i'm sayin is sht or get off the pot regardless of the excuse, we need production in every position or its gonna be same old same old. hope he can produce 8, 9 10 TD's this year or see ya....

we've got a nice mix of proven vet players, project players who seem to be paying dividends, absolute speedsters and big bodied guys at the receiver position.  Why we are getting into a pissing match about which one we're rooting for is beyond me.  Assuming we keep the best of them and they all contribute at an NFL level we should be jumping for joy.

 

Can you imagine if LaFell, Armanti and Gettis all prove they can play at a high level in this league?  We'll be set at receiver for another 7 years and if the ball gets spread evenly we can give them manageable contracts.

They are letting this dude get 1st team reps and the more he gets out of the Doghouse. Add in more confidence with Cam and the 1st team. Guys who had roster spots won't have them.
