Let's talk about that pick 6....

Didn't we have 2 yards?

We shoulda ran

On 3rd and 1/2, we need to put stewart tolbert in there and run. I know players execute plays, but saying Cam forced it to me is equally saying Shula tried to force it too

Neither Stewart or Tolbert played last night but come the regular season I don't have any doubt that will be the call.

Stewart is 25 so old and the benchmark for running backs hitting the wall isn't age it's total touches and both Williams and Stewart are still fresh in that aspect seeing as they have split carries neither has had a monstrous workload like say Steven Jackson, we have some young weapons and they finally appear to be panning out get over yourself, mark this we will have a top 12 offense and a top 8 defense this season.

Steve smith is still productive as ever, the only aging player I'm worried about on offense is Jordan Gross.

Stewart is also on the PUP list.

You keep focusing on Newton. He is 1 of 11 guys on offense. Now he is the most important of those 11 guys, but nonetheless...1.

I kind of feel bad for you because you're expecting this explosive, high flying offense like the saints or the falcons but you are in for a major disappointment this year. Just don't blame Newton when we start averaging 17 points per game.

I think you will end up pleasantly surprised no one here expects our offense to be the falcons or saints we expect a balenced attack capable of making big plays,

By the way the past two seasons we have led the NFL in explosive plays (plays of 20 yards or more) our problem has been constantly picking up third down and 5

Or more.

I already tried to tell him how explosive we have been and consistency has been our issue....he seems to be thinking we have been something else

Mcdougal: I don't care what the facts are I'm going to cry like a baby because we didnt use our top two picks on receivers to become like the mighty Detroit lions and next season when we use out first rounder on a Lt I'm going to soil the bed crying myself to sleep.

He is still butthurt because we didnt spend our first rounder on a WR.

Facts go right over his head can't wait to see what he says next year when we get a Ot in the first.

It was a bad play on Cam's part but I am going to make up an excuse for him anyway :P

In all likelihood he read them pre-snap as being in man to man and already knew the matchup he wanted to exploit so he probably decided he was going to Olsen pre snap on a route determined on how the defender was playing Olsen which is why he stared him down. In a play like that you can't look at every receiver.

Also, the Bears were probably in the only defense that could have intercepted that play.

Not removing any blame from Cam because he has to see that and adjust, but it looked like a situation where the Bears had the perfect defensive play called to defend that play.
