Let's talk about that pick 6....

Recommended Posts

We have one of the greatest weapons in the NFL..... and we run a vertical passing O.

Winning should be about stepping on people's throats on both sides of the ball. Not handcuffing Newton.

We don't have a secondary to simply play a let the D win type football.

With what offense? We do not have the offense personnel to step on anybody's throat.

You wanted that kind of offense...tell the GM to focus on getting some offensive weapons that teams have to gameplan for. Tell the coaching staff to hire an offensive coordinator that other teams would hire for the same position. Draft offensive threats instead of dline men.

I am not criticizing our front office for the choices they have made. It very well could work out.

But let us all please put down the crack pipe thinking this offense, as constructed, could lead us anywhere but to 4 or 5 wins.

We need our talented and highly drafted defense, and our highly paid backfield to lead us.

Not the one area of the team that has been neglected since Cam was drafted: the passing game.

Cam needs to stay away from mistakes like the INT. This year is about letting our defense wins games, running the ball, and making short to intermediate throws.

As presently constructed this offense is good for about 16-20 points per game. We can't afford to have the offense giving up points.

I think our offense will be good for somewhere around 24 points per game we averaged 14-17 back in 2010 and 22 last season we will be good for

20-24 ppg average.

You want to play small ball and put our games on our D? We don't have that caliber D yet.....there are maybe one or two of those a year. They have pro bowlers in the front AND back.

Our offense has done more than enough to net us winning seasons the last two years......if we simply had a well rounded D each of the last 2 seasons. Now you are suggesting we put the O in neutral and put it all on the D? Are you Clowney's uncle and simply want him to be a Panther?

Why don't you at least watch the D practice against a team that uses their best offensive weapon before you catapult them in the class you seem to imply.

Constancy is our O's only problem. They are as high powered and explosive as anyone in the NFL when rolling. Having one the leagues most dynamic and biggest playmakers makes that happen.....and you think the key to winning is turning him into Clausen. Why not trade Cam for some secondary talent and start Clausen of that is your plan

This offense, outside of Cam, is worse than 2010. We have an older Steve Smith and older running back than in 2010.

If this offense averages 20 points this season, the Panthers should win 12 games.

How can you possibly exclude Newton....you know, the guy off to historical offensive production.

The NE Patriots offense is pretty comical if you exclude Brady. But you can't exclude Brady....he is the offense. Therefore, they are one of the best.

We better have that kind of defense. We have a defensive minded head coach who is well respected. We have highly drafted D-Line men. Our LBs core should be the envy of the league.

Meanwhile on offense. We have an offensive coordinator I am not sure a single elite college team would hire to the same post. We have our best WR drafted in 2001. A massive amount of our cap is tied up in the running back position.

Enough is enough. Newton cannot make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t.

It is time for the areas of this team with the most/best resources step to the plate and lead us to a post season birth.

We haven't had that kind of D.....offense has had us basically a play away from winning almost every game since Newton arrived. Now suddenly, they can't scrap together 3-4 wins?

If Newton gets better....which he should....he certainly should be able to make chicken salad out of chicken poo. He entered the NFL aand almost figured out that recipe his first game. He basically has been an ingredient off.

Newton certainly needs some defensive help.....he hasn't gotten enough. Overall, Newton has had this team on his back. The solution is helping him....not suddenly asking him to hide.

Love Cam. Cam is not Brady. Nor should he be expected to be.

And LOL at thinking an offense whose QB leads them in rushing is "as high powered and explosive as anyone in the NFL..."

lol...at focusing on that and ignoring all the other explosive stats this offense has produced IN THE AIR and ground over the course of two seasons.

Consistency has been the O's problem.....not ability.

Right because adding Greg Olsen and a better Lafell make it worse quit trolling newb.

Again, I love Cam too. I just refuse to think he is superman (despite his celebrations). He is human. He needs help. Cam is not Jesus. He cannot turn water into wine. And it is the kind of thinking eerily similar to Lebron and Cleveland. It does not work.

If you are going to put your limited resources in the defense. No problem. Just don't expect our offense to turn into the Falcon's. If we want that kind of offense we should have proceeded like the Bengals with Dalton. Cam is limited. Just like Brady, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers. He needs every bit of help that those QBs need.

Great players need great pieces. Great players is not a license to surround said great players with ordinary talent and expect...championship!

We have decided to try to surround Luke Kuechly with such talent. I am therefore expecting Kuechly and the defense to be great, and to lead our team.
