Hopefully this is the momentum Norman needed to take that number two spot opposite of Florence. I like Captain, but he needs to concentrate on that nickel spot.

It's funny, I was talking up Norman a few days ago saying that Florence would really help him because they both play pretty similar.

Hopefully there's a lot more of that from Josh in the regular season, including the "bank vault".

Cover 1 Robber and he threw it straight to the robber. Can't be any more on Cam than that.

Play was simple. Newton overlooked a lurking LB. it happens.

Outside of one play.....in preseason game ONE Newton looked sharp. Who cares.

The LB didn't have to spin around, cam literally threw it right to him. He hits lafell right behind Olsen and there's never an INT.

Stared (not "starred" <smh>) the receiver down, made a bad pass, Lafell was breaking loose one frame to the right and up.

 

Three critical errors that could stall a drive alone.  Three at the same time might just be cobwebs.  Remember how many passes he had last year without an interception?  Use the Google.  

 

My theory is that when several errors happen at the same time its an anomaly.  Like he caught a glimpse of Lafell breaking as he decided to hit Olsen but hesitated just long enough to 1) give the target away and 2)feel like he had to put something extra on the throw.  Perfect storm if you will.  

 

On the bright side, both receivers were open.  That is not something he has had too much experience with.  As this happens more he will have a better resolve.  Two guys open in practically the same frame probably shocked the ish out of him.  It did me.

Does he need to wait on seperation? Issue wasn't Olsen's defender. Issue was the guy not on Olsen. Cam just didn't see him....likely would have been a completion if the LB wasnt there....

I mentioned in another thread that perhaps I need to see a replay but from my first (albeit hazy) impression that Olsen was about to create a window had Cam thrown a second later...  Definitely not above saying I missed that LB as well..  ;)

 

The replay gave me the same impression, but I don't doubt another view of the situation may change my perspective... 

 

I like Cam's anticipation, but my view could have been just as fallible..
