Let's talk about that pick 6....

Recommended Posts

Cam said that he saw him but he lost track of him for a split second. If you go back and watch the play if he leads Olsen a little more or waits half a second later he's clear and open. It was a good decision but a bad throw. Needed to be a little more patient.

Yeah. Cam, could have also lofted it over the defenders [and Olsen's] head, or shoulders for a catch.

Unfortunately, it was a bad throw, cause Cam kinda threw it behind Olsen, with out enough arch to go over Olsen's shoulder, out of reach of the defender; which he could have done.

But after all, it's a 5 day old preseason game, with a new one coming tomorrow. So who cares?

Exactly.

He made a bad throw....big deal.  It is preseason and that is when you work out the kinks nd get ready for the season.

It's been pretty much unanimous from the posts I've read that it was his fault. Obviously he threw the pass, and the defender made a nice play as well. There are and always will be those among us eager for him to make a mistake.

Like I said in another ridiculous thread about him that was overblown by people with clear agendas. I think there's a large number of people in this very fan base who have never fully accepted him, but merely tolerate him.

All this goes back to before he was even drafted. Reading these boards then, nothing surprises me now.

There are posts that say otherwise especially in the beginning. Yes it is obvious. Who is eager for the QB of our team to make a mistake? You mean opposing fan posters, not sure what this means- I don't see anyone here wanting him to lose...

I don't think people have agendas and I don't think it hasn't anything to do with Cam. I think it's the difference between the perspectives of a long time Panther fan versus a merging Cam fans(boy); the difference of being a fan of the Panthers because Cam is on the team or being a fan of Cam because he is on the Panthers. I don't really care fans are great and better than nothing.

Before he was drafted, he was a risk...people blindly like players before the draft, no one really knows how they will turn out, not sure how you blame someone using hindsight...seems like a shallow argument.

One thing I can say for sure is that no one (exluding opposing team posters) on this forum wants Cam to fail and lose, I have not seen these posts and I think some of you are paranoid.

So what if a Panthers fan here did supposedly make excuses for him? Please explain why that bothers you.

I can't imagine how you wouldn't see it, unless you don't want to. Even before you changed your name, I recall you routinely entering threads about him just to complain that a Carolina Panthers message board had the nerve to mention him. Yet you are going to tell me nobody here has an agenda, lol.

Oh he was beyond a risk. Reading the venomous opposing views toward him in 2011, you would have thought he was the devil himself. Ironically the same people spewing that idiocy were the ones who all but jumped off of a bridge just a few months earlier because Andrew Luck decided to stay in school another year.

The ignorance exists. Inside and outside this fan base, and it has everything to do with Cam. Just look up a few articles about him online. Doesn't matter which one. Then scroll down and read the comments. No agenda, right?

was a joke...

but it's funny how such a blantant mistake by Cam is defended like it's not Cams fault.

Amazingly enough, 98% of the folk in this thread has pointed out how it was Cam's fault utterly and totally.

But, yeah, you keep on setting up and knocking down those strawmen.

Holy crap, a ten page week long discussion over one freaking play? I honestly figured this would last maybe a day and then we'd move on to things that mattered, but damn was I wrong.

I apologize to everyone involved for this still existing. It's bad enough that the sports media world seems convinced that there was only one play that happened in this game, but to see it still going on the huddle just makes me sad.

Cam, for the love of all that is holy, don't throw a pick tonight.

As the person who birthed this unholy thread, I felt the OP needed to be changed.
