You keep focusing on Newton. He is 1 of 11 guys on offense. Now he is the most important of those 11 guys, but nonetheless...1.

 

I kind of feel bad for you because you're expecting this explosive, high flying offense like the saints or the falcons but you are in for a major disappointment this year. Just don't blame Newton when we start averaging 17 points per game.

Let's see. You have been told that for the last 2 years we have been one of the best at explosive plays. (Plays of 20 yards or more.)

Cam has put up historic passing numbers. Someone has to be catching all those passes. And they ain't all going to Smitty.

Not to mention our Offense has been top 10.

Yet you feel our Offense is somehow lacking in the ability to hold up their end of the bargain. That if our Defense doesn't play to historic levels we will only win 3-4 games.

You must just love to antagonize folks. Because if you are worried about our Offense. There is no way you can be convinced we are pretty good on that side of the ball.

Personally, I think you watch too much ESPN. Cuz no Panther fan that has watched the last 2 years is as concerned about our Offense as you make yourself out to be.

But hey, when we win more than 3-4 games, you can be excited and glad that your were wrong.

Bc 1 player matters greatly.

Again, 2010 supporting cast was better than 2011. 2011 was a historically good O....2010, historically bad.

I expect the offense to be what it has been overall through 2011 and 2012... but hopefully more consistant. I will be disappointed if it isn't that. I got no clue what you are thinking this O should be.

i can't agree with the 2010 supporting cast being better than 11'.  The addition of Olsen automatically makes 11' better, add that with a healthy Smith and a competent Shockey and it isn't even close.

It's been pretty much unanimous from the posts I've read that it was his fault. Obviously he threw the pass, and the defender made a nice play as well. There are and always will be those among us eager for him to make a mistake.

Like I said in another ridiculous thread about him that was overblown by people with clear agendas. I think there's a large number of people in this very fan base who have never fully accepted him, but merely tolerate him.

All this goes back to before he was even drafted. Reading these boards then, nothing surprises me now.

Cam said that he saw him but he lost track of him for a split second. If you go back and watch the play if he leads Olsen a little more or waits half a second later he's clear and open. It was a good decision but a bad throw. Needed to be a little more patient.
