bP's Pre-Season Power Rankings

1- Heat - I'm really not confident with them at the top. Greg Oden is your big offseason signing??

2- Pacers - Their problem was scoring last year. Hello Copeland and Granger!!

3- Thunder - Durrant and Westbrook get another crack at it.

4- Clippers - Solidified with depth now and added Doc Rivers.

5- Bulls - Rose will be back, but is that enough?

6- Rockets - Howard/Harden/Lin/Parsons and some depth sound like a title contender...

7- Nets - Old Age / Experience = Glass half full / Glass half empty

8- Spurs - Doubt they can put it together the way they did last year, but with Pop you never know..

9- Warriors - More maturity for a young team. Iggy will help.

10- Grizzlies - Didn't improve from the team that got swept by Spurs and lost your best head coach ever.

--------------

11- Knicks - Metta and Bargnani will put this team over the top!! (riiiight)

12- Nuggets - Want to put them higher but can't find a reason to. JJ Hickson might give a boost

13- Hawks - Went all out for Howard but didn't land him. Millsap is your reward.

14- Blazers - Why do I have them so low?? LA, Lillard, Batum = playoffs right??

15- Cavs - Bynum will make or break this team. I figure he just breaks...

16- Wizards - Wall, Beal and Nene. The new "big three" that isn't so big.

17- Pistons - Jennings, Stuckey, Smith, Monroe, Drummond sound like a playoff team to me.

18- Wolves - Love and Rubio and a ton of role players. Pek needs to just sign already.

19- Lakers - Pau and Kobe and and Nash and Kaman.. collect ALL the injury prone players.. MOAR!!!

20- Pelicans - Young core possibly takes another step toward getting better

--------------

21- Mavs - Dirk is older and the role players are too.

22- Raptors - Just good enough to not be mentioned with the cellar dwellers.

23- Bucks - Another team that made a lot of moves laterally this offseason.

24- Bobcats - Addition by subtraction (Diop and TT) - Addition by addition (Al and Zeller)

25- Suns - The Suns aren't that bad. Gortat, Dragic, Butler, Beasley and the Morris twins.

26- Kings - Cousins will keeps them in games but they will figure out how to lose enough to be in the lottery.

27- Celtics - Who thinks Wiggins "magically" lands in Boston?

28- Jazz - Hayward, Favors and Kanter need Marcus Smart on their team.

29- Magic - I look at their roster and it's a team full of players that were good 2-4 years ago.

30- 76ers - The Bynum trade will set them back 4 years. This is year 1.

Hawks and wiz are too high, both are worse than the Bobcats IMO

Pistons added talent but it doesnt really make sense to me, the pieces just dont fit, 2 PG's that dont pass in Stucky and Jennings (overrated player) Smith has great moments but settles for too many jump shots. Monroe (very good) Drummond is a def guy only

Raptors should be higher, much improved with Gay on that roster

If Porter pans out, Wizards should be above Cats bc of Wall and Beal.

Pistons are going to be a really good team and fun one to watch. Bet my money on it.

Raptors is somewhat decent and somewhat terrible. Even with Gay last year, they were averaged.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
