I highly doubt he starts. 

 

He was a 4th round pick so regardless of health I wouldn't expect him to start right away.

 

I don't think it'd be a bad idea to start him on the PUP list.  But at this point I don't think placing him on the IR is necessary.  Coming week in mid-way through the season and getting some reps would insure he's healthy and ease the process of coming from a small college program and into the NFL.

There's no need to rush him but I do think it'd be crucial for him to get some solid reps throughout the season.
