Bad news for Atlanta, good news for Carolina

With nearly two full seasons of starting experience? That would be pretty impressive.

"Starting experience" is way overrated. Plenty of guys in this league are starters out of desperation. I appreciate Bell's efforts, but I think he falls into that category. Bell is one of those guys who you'd really feel good about as a backup but who really makes you nervous when penciled in as a starter.

i'm not hating this news.

teams have benefited for years from our oft injured roster. i'm looking forward to benefiting from others injuries and i will take the wins that come from them just as gladly as they took wins after beating our already beaten up team.

Could not have said it any better.

I am sure when Kemo went down a couple of years ago.  The same thing happened throughout our division.  Or Beason or Davis or Kalil...

and this guy Johnson, who I had never heard of before this link,.....seems he's never played tackle in the NFL and spent last year as a second string Guard

I never rejoice in other teams injuries... tomorrow it could be us, bad karma.

it usually is us. rejoice that its other teams, not ours, who are getting hurt so far. skirts around the karma thingie....of course it also runs along the border of jinx-land, but hey...just live like imaginary things like karma and jinxes ARE imaginary things.

That, and it makes us come off like the kid on the playground who is bullied, but can only stand up to the bully when the bully comes to school in a neck brace.

A win is a win is a win..I will agree...but I would take more pride in beating ATL when they were at their strongest yet we outplayed them...rather than getting a win or otherwise having a great game because a key player or two from their side was out.

I would have hated to see them get Eric Winston, but Arizona got him a couple of weeks ago.  I know hes not a left Tackle, but he would have helped that line.  Here is what is left in Free Agency.. Don't look like a lot of LT's...  Jamaal Brown was a pro bowler for NO back in 06 but was so injured he couldnt even make the Redskins team last year..

Offensive Tackle
Jammal Brown (RT/LT)
Jared Gaither (LT)
Winston Justice (RT)
Sean Locklear (RT/LT)
Frank Omiyale (RT/LT/G)
Wayne Hunter (LT)
Jeremy Bridges (RT/G)
Brandyn Dombrowski (RT)
James Lee (RT)
Jordan Black (RT)
William Robinson (RT/LT)

there's no 'b', 'u', or 't' in win.

take pride always in doing your job regardless of any contributing factors.  we weren't at full strength when they beat us the past few years. why should we feel less pride for beating them at less than full sttength.

sorry, it's just silly to me thinking that it matters how the number gets in the win column as long as it's within the rules.

i'd agree with him if 31 other teams or fanbases in the league would show any mercy whatsoever.

the falcons didn't feel sorry for us in 2011 due to our linebacker situation when they ran that stretch play at dan connor over and over again.
