Bad news for Atlanta, good news for Carolina

Just saw that projected starter at right tackle for the falcons, Mike Johnson, dislocated his ankle today at practice leaving 2nd year man Lamar Holmes as the guy at RT. Cant wait to see Kraken and CJ play their version of "smear the *****" with Matty Ryan's face twice this year.

Disclaimer:  The term "smear the *****" is in no way making claims to anyone's sexual preference or orientation. In light of the whole "Chico" deal, it seems as if some members are badge carrying members of the word police. It simply means I want to see Matt Ryan bloodied and battered and told to get the fug off our field.

Not only has this been mentioned hours ago in the other teams camp news thread, it is incredibly distasteful to celebrate a severe injury to a player, regardless of where he plays. This isn't good news for anybody, and that's coming from someone without a soul.

Was going to preface this with the obligatory "I wish no player harm and hate to say it" but I figured it would be a given.

Also, the only taste I have nowadays is for bacon.

Gloating over other teams injuries just means you have less faith in your own team and NEED help.

We gave the Falcons all they could handle last season and hope we get over the hump this season without having to rely on injuries for our opponents

i'm not hating this news.

teams have benefited for years from our oft injured roster. i'm looking forward to benefiting from others injuries and i will take the wins that come from them just as gladly as they took wins after beating our already beaten up team.

    • What are the matchups, stats and superlatives?   I think this will be a hard game. Bucs are a very balanced team on offense:  7th  in total yards per game, 7th in passing, 10th in rushing. Baker is having another career year even better than last year but despite missing his Godwin and Evans. Bucs defense is poor (29th) particularly passing defense, but we’re also depleted in our receiving with Coker and Sanders likely out. Running Chuba is key but their defense is better against the run. (16th) I think this is likely going to require us to score a lot of points to keep up and hopefully the home field advantage tips the scale in our favor. My other concern is our run defense and being able to stop their rookie study Bucky Irving who the Bucs have shifted more carries to recently and he’s averaging 5.4 ypc and knows how to get into the endzone with 5 TDs so far.
    • This is nonsense and you know it. People will be happy when we are consistently and convincingly winning games against good teams. There are people in here talking down to others after losses and barely beating the terrible NY Giants. If you want to strut around here like only you are a real Panthers fan and rage pooing posts because your jimmies are rustled then hey good luck with all that. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.
    • Who had the massive meltdown last year? Hope they feel better this year.
